are we on or not?
its been very slippy around here allday
And its frezzing here tonight, N Wales is snow bound
Clee is covered too
So what do you wanna do
Cheers
john

I'm still up for it unless we have another snowfall. Probably have to restrict it to main roads and a shorter route but we could get a group together and plan future runs. There is already a Midlands based group that have had a couple of early morning 'Raids' in the Peaks with a Tulip Maps.

Decisions! Decisions!

I have to say....and I hate myself for it........I'm sceptical...no underseal, salty roads, snow, ice and trackday PZC's don't make for fun or safe times......I'll take a look first thing, wait to hear from my mate and may see you on the Bridgnorth by pass between 0945 and 1015

So who is up for this, are we down to just Ian?

I've gotta say, it looks like it's going to be sub zero tomorrow morning, whether there's snow or not. Maybe okay for a gentle pootle, but nothing full on. Would be a shame, been looking forward to this.

I'll check here again later tonight, but unless a few people say "yes, I'm in" we should perhaps leave it for another day.

I'm in - probably Targa on though!

Can anyone meeting at Bridgnorth say whether its the biker stop or the by- pass. to meet?

I'm not familiar with the bypass where should I stop?

The weather forecast looks good!!

Andrew

I'm most likely going to be there....because as you say been looking forward to it and I'm not usually one to let the/any weather put me off.......funny what this RS is doing to me!

This sounds like a recipe for disaster, we have 3 meeting places at present. I'm planning to have a drive past Kiddy station at 9, then stop at the biker place below Bridgenorth, from about 9.45 to 10, then drive up the by-pass picking up any stragglers.
My mobile is 07801 884056, and I'm happy to be a contact point, but I reserve the right to get up in the morning, look out the window, say "sod it" and go back to bed.

How about the Little Chef car park at Quatford as mentioned somewhere above as the meeting point for those coming from that direction. I have emailed my no to all and sundary
Lets hope its a goer

07768767987....I'll check the biker cafe and the by pass....similarly if I make it out of my pit!

Sorry guys, I'm dropping out. I would really like to come but I'd rather do it on a day when there'd be a better chance of pushing on a bit - just been looking at the pictures of the pile up on the M6 yesterday, if it can happen there, then it can certainly happen in the Welsh Borders. Let's do it again sometime, and be careful out there.

i will turn up at 9.00am...but i will be taking it gently...anyone else just out for a gentle squirt
this morning
cheers
john

[FONT=Trebuchet MS"]good to meet everyone today, some good squirts too, and some tender loin parts too, all in all a good start, lets keep it up
cheers

I agreee, for those that couldn't make it.....

1 x 996 GT3
1 x 997 carrera S
1 x 964 Carrera RS
2 x 3.2 Carrera Targa SE

From Bridgnorth to Craven Arms to Welshpool (stop for coffee and bacon butty) to Shrewsbury and back home (various)

Yes it was icy - probably more than we were actually aware of.

Highlights include waving to a WPC in a panda whilst "taking a break" at the side of the road, and passing through the crowds in Welshpool gathered for the hunt - we had more horses than they did by some margin.

Looking forward to next time - yes Ian hopefully in the dry

Andrew

S'all good guys....and yes they'd be great roads in the dry but I thnk we all know our rides a little better after that!....and we can extend out tward Vernwy and clun and some great twisty switchbacks or make the trek to bets-y-coed and on to ty for a little look?

once again good to meet you and yes lets keep it up!

happy new year to one and all

Really sorry I missed this little event[:(] Not having my SSE for very long Id've enjoyed meeting up with you guys!!!
Still, if there's any other outings in the pipeline I'll be there[;)]
