Group Buy, Zunsport Grilles

Still waiting for 2 orders to take it to the 20 required, so anyone considering please let me know

And following an email I sent to Zunsport yesterday they have agreed this and the order code will go live on Friday 18th ( Tomorrow ) I am sending the list I have compiled and we can also then place orders using the discount code for Zunsport Porsche model orders.

I sent in the list today, tomorrow I will paste the number up on the forum for any Porsche club member to use to purchase Zunsport Porsche items at the 20% discount, no point to posting it today as it won't be live on their system until tomorrow and so anyone trying to use it beforehand may well end up paying the full price.

I will email each of those on the list that they can place their orders supplying them with the code number to use and I will paste it onto the forum on this thread and the R8 page since they are where I have placed the notices as well as the Boxster page. If anyone wishes to cascade it to their region or pass it to friends on other registers there should be no problem in doing so.

Ordered Friday and received today, awesome!!!!

They look amazing, all I need now is for the new car to arrive [:)]

Well it all depends on how fast they ship it ..... rolled off the production line on Friday.

For any newcomers, the promotion code is now live on the forum at the top of the Cayman section

Hi Kevan

I have ordered and received the grills for my 997 C2S Cab.......they look pretty neat fitted.

Hi Brendan, pleased to hear that others are taking up the offer, I was away earlier in the week when mine arrived and fitted them this morning, I found that someone had fitted some before..., I'm well pleased with them seeing some of the minor damage mine has on the fins of the centre rad, I guess as there is a large direct intake across all of it so that's now protected, at least the condensers and side rads do have a curve from the intakes to give some protection but the grilles will earn their keep.

Kenan,

Thanks for organising the group buy.

I have been wanting to fit black Zunsport grilles for ages for my silver Gen 1 Cayman S but couldn't justify the cost.

The group buy discount gave me the push I needed and I ordered them as soon the discount code went live.

Delivered a couple of days later and now fitted - they look great.

Thanks again.

Regards

Alastair

Nice to hear how everyone is fitting them ok, I found when I started to fit mine that someone had tried before and got one hole out of position! Redrilled in the correct position and fitted easy as pie.

I had an overtemp alarm on my PDK transmission a few months ago and took the precaution of removing the grilles before driving to the OPC a diagnostic revealed an intermittent fault on a temp sensor within the gearbox, I had to remove the single screws locating the outer pair and flex the centre grille to remove it they were refitted a few days later when I got the car back from repair, while the OPC may not have bothered about the grilles it's possible that with the dreaded Porsche warranty rules there could be objections, worth thinking about but most dealerships have no problem with their fitting, I've even beard of them doing the install when requested.

Tony, we have our own code which is shown near the top of the Cayman Forum again -20%

OK - I'm a bit confused.

I just received a set for my Cayman 981 and it looks as though I need to screw directly into the black part of the existing front bumper opening. Is that right? It would mean there is no way back...
