Gotta Mot

Hi guys.
Just happened to look at the MoT reminder on my windscreen yesterday and guess what? It expired...yesterday. Booked in today and guess what...it sailed though after the kind man weakened the fuel mix a tad to bring the exhaust reading the right side of wrong. And kinder still, he didn't charge for the adjustment.
All in all a good week. Picked up my 1988 Lux on Friday after an oil leak on the cam cover was fixed. Took it to Two Plus Two, an indy set-up in Brierley Hill near Dudley in West Mids. Two guys who only handle Porsches. Both with about 30 years experience on the cars so well versed in all things 944.
The car came back with new gaskets, new injector cover, new bits and bobs in the distributor, all new bolts and parts of the wiring loom rerouted just where Dr Porsche put them in the first place. Oh, and no clouds of embarrassing smoke. Back to spec, near as dammit, for £260.
Just one problem, Dave and Chris are so busy it took best part on a month to get the car booked in. Next time I'll have to guess what's going wrong well in advance.
Cheers, Rob
