Any spaces remaining for this Greg?
Sorry Keith all spaces are now filled, although I can put you on the reserve list. Still be worth coming along though to support as one of the other two teams may have some places left on the day.

Guys,

Just a heads up....The Great North Run is on Sunday also, which rules out certain routes for those coming from Newcastle area!

Rich

Hi Greg, obviously too late to race but we'll try to get across to support the event, are you meeting up anywhere first or just going straight to the track?

By the way is that your daughter who's involved with Easy Jet's promotion to get my female pilots?

As a few members have asked about meeting points and times, if any one heading down from the North of the Region would like to travel down together I suggest McDonalds, Spire Rd, Peel Retail Park, Washington NE37 2PA at 11.30am to leave at 11.45am as we need to get there for 12.30 allowing our intrepid racers plenty of time to prepare, do their exercises and get their game face on.

This is a must win event for us and a chance to prove we are by far the best drivers in the world and as such we can ill afford to get beat my salesmen and body panel sprayers, so early night on Saturday. I want all our race team in bed by 9.00pm and don't forget your 4 Shredded Wheat on Sunday morning. :p

Seriously though, this promises to be a fantastic bit of fun between Club, Dealership & Bodyshop, bring on the banter. What better way to continue strengthening this fantastic relationship we have all come to enjoy?

If anyone else would like to join us on the day, why not come along to Teesside Autodrome, South Tees Motor Sports Park, S Bank Rd, Middlesbrough TS6 6XH and support your PCGB team efforts to become Karting Champions 2018.

Haha! Yes boss!

Really looking forward to this one....I’ve never driven the Teesside track but heard it’s good.

Not making excuses but I have hurt my hand quite badly during the Grand Prix weekend in Spa....a few too many strong drinks in Williams hospitality on the Saturday led to an unfortunate incident on a borrowed micro scooter....🙈 probably a hairline fracture but I’ll be fine 😂 (famous last words...!)

Is it a 45 Kart grid or are we paired up, Greg?

With the big day now upon us and the sun shining, why not come along and support team R3, in our quest to become karting champions at Teesside Autodrome today. Who will walk away victorious with the bragging rights? Whether it will be Lloyds Body shop, OPC Teesside or R3 PCGB, first to cross the finish line is anyones guess, but good luck to everyone who is taking part. It really is nail bitting stuff. Now it's time for the talking to stop and find out. Ladies & Gentlemen, please start your engines. #gameon

See you at Teesside Autodrome!

I don't think any of the opposition teams will be getting past Dave "Donkey Kong" Carnaffin in a hurry :ROFLMAO:

Ow, Ow, Ow, Ow and Ow..........Since nobody posted after the carting event yesterday I presume you were all doing the same as me and soaking your aching muscles in a very hot bath, to alleviate myself of injuries sustained when I went off and hit the tyre wall at 130 MPH!.............well OK 30 mph......but it still hurt.

Great fun was had by all, Congratulations to the winners, and if it wasn't for that car in front of me that just wouldn't get out of the way I would have been on the podium...."for sure".......

A good day was had even if the shoulders are a little bit stiff....!

Maybe this could be an annual event?

Andy

Or even a quarterly one. It was class!

Maybe restricted to club members next time to reduce the number of 9 stone 25 year olds in the field. I'm sure the weight difference (and not my abject lack of driving skills) was the issue.

Well I did my best going from 6th in Quali to 3rd.....

If fellow PCGB members hadn't have kept trying to fire me off when I was lapping them then we would have got a 2nd at least....😂🙈👌🏼 I thought the pink stickers were a tactical method not a target 😂

Fantastic day, defo up for making this a regular thing. we could do it quarterly at different circuits?

RK

Define "win".

The other teams didn't stick around for the weigh in, so only the Court of Arbitration for Sport can answer that question.

A great experience which I'm definitely paying for in terms of not being able to lift my arms anymore!

I think the other teams were deliberately taking us off the track; they must've heard what brilliant drivers we all are so, without the dirty tricks tactics, they didn't stand a chance!

See you all tomorrow evening, if you can bear to hold a steering wheel again......

John

Great afternoon, with a fantastic group of crazy people. Sadly we didn't take first but well done Richard for your impressive drive to third place even with a broken hand, we need you match fit for next time, sir!

Congratulations to Adam from Porsche Teesside for taking first place.

I have heard every race drivers excuse possible from the rest of the teams since, but now I have seen some of the bruises I know this was a hard fought fight right until the end and we all gave it a good go. PCGB R3 may have lost this battle but not the war as I can see a re-match coming in the future, so watch this space.

I think I was robbed though and still don't know who punted me off into the first corner after my amazing start. That said I should have known what was inevitably coming next with 20 karts weaving for position behind and not enough fuel to go round a big lad causing a road block. Next thing I knew, I was traveling backwards at around 300mph [;)] into the gravel which was more like quicksand as my kart disappeared underneath me, leaving me sitting there while a marshal shouted "There's no way that's coming out of there with you in it mate!" Whatever could he be implying? So I sat there patiently and watched the field go by twice before a Monaco F1 type crane could be found and brought over (ok I got out and he pushed it).:ROFLMAO: At least even from two laps down I didn't finish last. I am pleased to say there was one driver, not in our team, worse than me lol.

Well done team R3 you were all awesome.
