Gen 2 C2S Collecting tomorrow - Pics

ORIGINAL: FrancoisSav Sorry for the change of topic but have been trying to start a new thread but don't know/ seem to be able to do so... (maybe because I am not a PCGB member). After a fast run with the Turbo the other night, had a bit of white smoke when I started it the next morning. Is this normal? should I let the car idle for a while for the Turbos to cool off before switching off? All advise welcome... Francois

Darren I'd suggest only a few minutes, then at least you could enjoy the entire cruise without being held up by the crocs [;)] I think alll out war should be declared on a trackday (karting only though)[:)] garyw

Yes that is quite normal as long as the smoke does not last beyond a few seconds. See previous threads on the subject. By the way, why are you not a member? If you can afford a turbo, you certainly can afford about a quid a week for a great magazine, free advice, great events and super people! [:D]
 
Dereck, Thanks for the reply... will check the previous threads. I can certainly (just... after having paid for the PCCB) afford the membership... but have moved from the UK & now commute between France & Greece. Maybe I should check if they accdept overseas members as I really enjoy the forum...

Yes, of course we accept overseas members and will send the magazine to your home address. The Club have a great annual visit to Le Mans which of course is closer to you than if you lived in UK. We also have at least one Porsche factory visit per year.
