Has anyone had a 901 box rebuilt recently. Going back 2 years or so, I had all the bearings and synchros replaced in mine, but there was wear in the pinion shaft. Whilst changing the bearings etc got rid of 75% of the noise, there is still some diff whine.

What I am after is someone who can set the preloads on the diff, once I obtain a new pinion shaft.

any recommendations out there?
 
I will be doing this myself in a couple of days when the shims come through from Porsche. I got a quote from Parr Motorsport who would do the backlash and bearing preload in a max of 4 hours at £55 per hour as I remember.
 
I have just had mine rebuilt by Chilum Sportscars in Kent. I have not put it back in the car yet so I will let youknow soon what I think
