After having the gaz golds on the car a while a noticed my top mounts were a bit worse for wear. Car had 118k and they were original.

Was on the phone to the guys at Gaz and they advised me that they sell camber adjustable top mounts. I just bought a set for £180 inc Vat and they have totally transformed the car. The car feels so much better than before. You do feel the bumps slightly more but overall I would highly recommend them
 
I got it set up by SWR in Stirling. I know the guy there he has a 750 bhp cossie race car and touring car and is really good. He corner weighted it for me aswell and built me a 3" stainless exhaust.

With this BB software I think that you can upload a picture to the site too, which people then download by clicking on the link
 
Really interested on these as well as on a Gas gold suspension review.
Is your car daily/street driver, or prepared for trackdays ?

Also - do these camber plates affect ride height (many of them raise ride height somewhat)? If your suspension is height adjustable its not an issue but for us with stock suspension it is.

You suggest you feel the bumps slightly more - how about noise? Increased road/tire noise from the front with a solid mount?
 
Will you be coming along to the 944 meet next Sunday in Bonnybridge? Would be interesting to see your set-up.

Unfortunately I am off to my stag do this weekend so will not be able to go to the meet.

The gaz golds are good value for money, my car is poly bushed in together with elephant racing mono ball castors and delrin rear torsion mounts.

Car is used on road and track. Definately feel pot holes etc more now but the car feels so much more together on the road.

The top mounts raise the car by 1.3 cm.

There is slightly more road noise transmitted from the tyres but not excessive.

I've got a full GAZ set-up on mine inc. poly bushes. You will no doubt see it up on the ramp on Sunday for a nosey.

It seems that some people (i.e. U63af, scam75) who have used Gaz coilovers have also used other suspension upgrades too. Please list these if you can as well as your experience and recommendations on these.
It is very usefull for potential "track-dayers" currently shopping around ;)

I installed the GAZ Gold set-up, polybushed the front ARB and added 968 castor mounts at the same time. The car was transformed completely although I was removing 10 year old Boge with one strut bent [&:] ! The adjustability on the GAZ is huge, you can go from very soft to very hard, much more adjustment than the Koni's offer. They are also ride height adjustable at the front so you can level up your car after torsion bar indexing etc. I do not have the helper springs at the rear but most would say they are not really needed unless really track focussed. The car is very easy to drive, forgiving and compliant no matter what you do with it.

After this I added 968 type ARB brackets from Simon @ SAR. These made another difference, noticibly reducing the front corners dipping when turning and tightening up the front end of the car once again. A very worthwhile mod.

This weekend I will be adding adjustable rear drop links and a front strut brace. I will report back on these mods shortly.

My car has:

complete poly bushed front ARB, Poly front wishbone bushes, polybronze wishbone kit from rennbay, elephant racing monoball rear castors, gaz top mounts.

Rear is solid delrin type rear arb carriers, adjustable solid drop links, weltmeister rear torsion bar bushes, poly rear trailing arm bush, poly torsion tube carrier mount, solid alloy billet mounts for tosion support arm (banana arm).

Car is noticably clunkier on rear from arb, I I was doing it again would use poly bushes on rear arb and instead od welstmeister bushes use elephant racing.

Love the set up. Great for track and road

My car is decked! Down about 60mm and tyres sit right on arches, nothing adverse to report except criminally slow speeds required for sleeping policemen! [&:]

When I first fitted the gaz shocks, the car was really low and when I took corners hard it would bump steer and was prone to understeering.

I put the car in to be corner weighted and set up and asked for wishbones to be kept as horizontal as possible.

After having the car at knockhill last friday, the car drove very well but and if anything had too much front grip leading to it being very oversteery.

I am going to stiffen damping on front a bit to try and compensate.

Car is still pretty low. After being corner weighted, car looks slightly higher on the front but sills look level.

Are there various types of Gaz shocks available or just one type used for every application ? (fast road, trackdays, race etc.)
