Fuel pump

Hi,

From the clip I’d say it’s the pump but it maybe a symptom and not the cause. Be worth checking the in tank strainer/internal pump isn’t blocked as the tank can gather a load of crud over the years. Other thing to check is the voltage the pump gets. If you put your headlights on with main beam does the fuel pump get more noisy?

Third option is to just fit a new pump, they’re not massively expensive and and easy job to replace.

Have had another look today and it seems the noise is coming from the pump in tank and I can also feel a vibration when I place my hand on the bottom of the tank, is this a sign of a major problem?

Possibly ... give the base of the tank a good thump and see if settles / clears the symptoms
