I have a carburettor car that has got stuck floats and general muck, not driven since August, bad I know. Fuel is being blamed and I have been advised to look at storage fuel which looks great but is £4.60 odd per litre, has anyone else got any experience of problems with lower mileages? Thanks.

What fuel is in the car ... 95 RON E10 ?

If so, this is not the best for older cars, you can use additives to protect - guard against the effects of the Ethanol or use 97/98/99 RON E5 Super Unleaded

That's really helpful thank you but no I have always used E5 in all of my cars. I am told that the ethanol content of E5 has increased from near zero to 5% and that degrades over time causing the problems, has anyone else had a similar issue with les frequently used cars?

The fuel that is being suggested is https://aaoil.co.uk/product/r-storage-plus/

Thanks.
