[;)]I' VE JUST BOUGHT A P/97 BOXTER BASALT BLACK/SAVANNA , HAVING DRIVEN IT JUST TWICE SO FAR WHAT CAN I SAY I LOVE IT ESPECIALLY THE NOISE OVER 5000 RPM! THERE IS JUST ONE THING THAT I' VE NOTICED IS THE FUEL CAP JUST POPS OPEN WHEN YOU TWIST IT! DO THESE NOT COME WITH A LOCKING CAP, IS THIS STANDARD, DOES EVERYONE ELESE HAVE THE SAME?
 
Standard. The lid wont open unless the car is unlocked, thats your security, so no need for a locking fuel cap.
 
With the car unlocked, open the flap. Now lock the car and you will see a plastic (?) bolt come out about 10mm. This locks the flap in place.
If you can' t open the flap, you can' t get to the cap.

Of course this means you have to have the car unlocked at the petrol station, else you can' t open the flap.

I don' t know how strong it is, so it would not stop someone determined, but hopefully it would set the alarm off if the forced it.
