Hi Paul, this is a bit off thread but did Fens strut brace make any difference to the handling on your car?
It made a massive difference to my car as, after tearing the threads off the strut mounts, when fitting the strut brace, I ended up replacing all of the front and part of the rear suspension.
I can't go to the Frontrunner day as it has now been confirmed that I will have to work. [

Hi Rich,
A Warwick convoy sounds like a good idea, in fact I know there is a whole bunch of 968's from www.968uk.com planning to meet at J15 of the M40 and arrive together. They haven't agreed a time yet so watch this space and we can perhaps join that. Alternatively if I can swing my lunch to start at 11:00 we can meet in Warwick and drive down together.
I believe the register display is very informal. Paul Hedges has arranged for some marked spaces at the front of the building so whoever gets there first nabs it I think, I'm giving my car a damned good clean on Friday then hope it stays dry for Sat and Sun driving in to work []

It did actually. I tried it because I am thinking of getting one for trackdays, to stop the outer edges of the front tyres rolling over and wearing out too quickly. After fitting I went for a little drive round some local roundabouts, and even at normal road speeds the front felt more planted, much less likely to run wide if you increased throttle whilst circulating.
However this particular design has quite high mounting points over the struts and one of the nuts was just touching the bonnet, and after the drive I noticed it had slightly scratched the underside. I think at circuit speed on really grippy tyres it might well dent the metal, so I'll be looking for a version with a much lower mounting point. The one sold by Simon at Essential Styling seems to fit the bill [

This is starting to look like a pretty big turnout now [] let's hope we don't just all stand around with hands in pockets as we haven't met eachother before, I know it can be pretty awkward with a whole bunch of strangers.
Luckily there will be some pretty nice cars knocking about and we all have a common interest, so plenty of tyre kicking and bonnet lifting all round, followed by a short drive around teh Cotswolds. Personally I'm hoping to hear plenty of V8 engines from the 928 and Cayenne crowd. Actually thinking about it I don't think I have ever heard a Cayenne running, seen plenty in showrooms and out on the road, but never close up with the engine started.

Just make sure that Simon sends you a 944 one, not the 968 bar that he sent to me. Fortunately, as the brackets looked too high, I put the bonnet down gently to check if they would clear - they didn't. I did phone Simon suggesting that I had slambed the bonet down and it had folded across the middle - and it was his fault. In all fairness to Simon he did offer to replace the bonnet, untill I came clean and confessed that I hadn't been stupid enough to slamb down the bonnet. Based on this event, I think you could be fairly confided that you would now get the correct fitting.

Hello everyone - due to the increasing scale of the event (!) I'm going to arrange cars in large model groups as much as possible - this will look fantastic if all goes to plan - need everyone to make sure cars are reversed into parking spaces so we get a line of bonnets - if you know what I mean. [
]I need to estimate how many 944 spaces to allocate. 20 - 30 - more!? What do you think?
Which it looks like it might do if the weather reports this morning are anything to go by[
]Anyway, it looks like me and Paul are going to convoy down, and might even meet up with some of the 968 boys on the way, so it sould be a good turn out[

Thanks for organising a great informal event, I've never seen so many 968's in one place outside of Eynsham Hall. I think I counted 17.

....and to everyone that came up to me and pointed out the fluid under my car. Thanks, I don't know what it is yet, but my coolant and PAS fluids were at their normal level, and it wasn't oil. I'm hoping it was just some water caught on my undertray and running off because I was parked slightly sloping [&:]
