Front Registration Plates

Looking for options when fitting/replacing the front registration plate. The mounting plate is smaller than standard size plates and is screwed to the body. Newer plates without screw fixtures don't cope with the curve i.e. the sticky pads don't stick at either end.

My Cayman has a plinth (I assume it's standard) which is screwed to the front bumper and takes a standard UK size rectangular number plate. I heated my number plate with a hot air gun and kept bending it until I achieved the correct curvature to attach it to the plinth with double sided adhesive.

Before this I removed the plinth to clean it and found several holes through the plinth and into the bumper where the car has had previous number plates attached.

I would have thought that Porsche may have a plate holder design that allows for the curvature of the bumper at the rear of the mounting plate, but was flat at the front to allow a standard plate to fit flat...

Looks like your plinth is same as mine on 981 Boxster.
Plinth and plate are standard size however plate is screwed on

As I said earlier, I heated my registration plates and curved them, then attached them with the foam type double sided adhesive, no screws. Perhaps I could have put some adhesive tape much closer to the ends of the registration plate but I'm happy with the outcome.
