Front end respray

After 6.5 years of ownership and 44K miles added to the odo my car's a bit peppered by stone chips. It was immaculate when I bought it (having had a front end respray by the dealer I purchased from).

I've just been to see a recommended local detailer with a view to having the whole car detailed but I've realized this is a bit pointless given the state of the front end. It's not chicken pox, but there are 6 or so stone chips on the bonnet, a few more on the PU, a couple on each wing. So I think a respray comes first.

Problem is I'm off to Germany (on the club factory tour) in a few weeks and I fear some autobahn driving will create stone chips in the brand new spray job.[8|]

So perhaps I'll put off the whole idea!

Anyway - who's had a front end respray done? What did you pay? Did you include the wings?

Thanks

Hi - Yes have already had a chat with him on the phone - going to drop in there on Thursday to get his opinion.

I had the front, bonnet half wings, dreaded scuttle repair and a few other bits for £1800. For the front I would think about the £600 mark

Can you give a bit more detail on the 'dreaded scuttle repair' ,
not sure I really want to know . . . . but thought I better find out as car about to go to body shop for various bits and bobs!

thanks
