Front badge panel

I don't the early (square dash) badge panels where removable. Whereas the oval dash panel is removeable. Indeed you have to remove it to change the S2 air filter.

It won't. It is a different shape. The front edge is more curved on the S2 and the headlamp covers are a different shape.

You might be able to physically fix it but it will look pants.

Agreed, this is why I have a 2.7 badge panel on my S2 race car as the fibreglass front bumper and wings were original designed to fit on an 8v ala the still-born 944 challenge from about a decade ago.

To add a little clarity for Wayne:

There are three types of 944 badge panel.

i] welded on, for 1982 - 1985 series one 944s
ii] bolted on, for 1985 - 1989 series two 944s
iii] bolted on, for 1985> 944 Turbos and 1988> 944S2s

The first and second parts are dimensionally identical and the later part can be bolted onto an earlier car.
The third differs from the first two and only suits the models mentioned.

Thanks for all your comments guys, it looks like im going to have to repair the original which has a big dent in it.
