Friday 28th May "" Monday 31st May. Le WOTY
We will again be running our annual WOTY to France. The dates are the last Bank Holiday weekend in May leaving on the Friday morning and returning Monday evening. We will be visiting the region of Normandy which is packed full of interesting history relating to WW2. The 60th anniversary of D-Day is this year so the region will no doubt be marking this event. As in previous years I will be organising visits to places of interest in the area, and suggesting pleasant routes to drive, but these are always optional and we aim to have a very relaxed weekend during which people are free to choose how they spend their time. The hotel itself is superb and has good facilities including an award winning restaurant, stables and riding on the beach and rooms of a high standard. The hotel website is www.domaine-le-grand-hard.com . We will be travelling over by ferry, with a tunnel option for those who prefer. As a guide a standard double room with a Dover Calais crossing to include breakfast and dinner will be about £430-£450 per couple, but there will be various room and route combinations from which you can choose. Please let me know if you will be joining us as early ferry bookings are usually cheaper.
