Frequency of oil changes on a 2017 Panamera

Hi.

How often would you expect oil changes to be required on a 2017 Panamera 4?

I kind of expected that oil changes would coincide with services, so every 20k miles or 2 years?

My 991.1 C2 certainly didn't request an oil change during the 11k miles that I covered in 8 months.

Most of my mileage is motorway/dual carriageway, with few short trips.

The car was new at the end of March. It asked for its first oil change after 10k miles and is now telling me it'll need another one at the 20k interim service.

Thoughts?

Hi
seems a bit odd my 2012 GTS every 20,000 or two years I have just had a service and oil change at 53k
this was the 60k service but the two years were up.My car does mostly small journeys.
I would question this at the dealership may be a fault with the computer.

Hi Mark.

Thanks. I queried it at the first (10k) oil change. They just said that the car 'senses' when an oil change is due, so it's on a variable mileage basis. They implied that multiple short journeys might reduce the interval from 20k miles to nearer to 10k, but I do few short journeys. Mostly longer motorway and A road runs.

Hopefully I might get some feedback from others with 2017 Panameras, but my gut instinct was a faulty computer.

Cheers,

Simon

My car's on-board brain requested an oil change at 10,000 miles after 5 months of ownership and mainly long journeys. As I plan to keep the car for many years, frequent oil changes should extend the engine life!

Mine is the Panamera 4, 3 litre single turbo petrol. I expect the 10,000 oil change request may only apply to the first 10,000 miles.

I have a 2017 Panamera 4. Car shows it wants its second oil change at 20k miles, so I suspect it's not just the first 10k miles. [8|]
