Hi
I have put my beloved Speed Yellow 968CS up for sale having acquired a 996 recently.
It is a LHD ex-factory press car from 1992, tested by Walter Rohrl in Nov92 and one of the first built. I have owned for the last 18 years. M220 from the factory with yellow backed bucket seats, it now also has M030 fitted.
Price? Listed with no-reserve at RM Sothebys Olympia sale on the 24th October.

Thanks

Some picture of Walter Röhrl with the car and this is what he said at the time (Auto Zeitung 1992). It is also the yellow car used on the Porsche website. The chassis number matches the engine bay pictures.

"I've got inhibitions about praising Porsche so much, but for a two-wheel-drive car it's sensational what club sport can do!" And explains in more detail: "This is not due to the tyre, that is a question of the concept." This 968 is perfectly balanced. " A success of the transaxle principle: the six-speed gearbox moved to the rear axle.
"These cornering speeds - tremendous, and the brakes too: you notice that there's no mass behind them - and this traction: that's a sensation!" And what does Walter Rohrl say about the three-litre coarse and 240-hp, but "only" four-cylinder engine? "He does not have a 911 'sound' but what this machine can do is great"
