Flat battery

Went to get the car out of the garage yesterday and when I turned the key - nothing, no dash lights, no immobiliser light, no starter clicking Zilch!
Has an 18month old battery on and no fault with this

Now I left the doors, hatch & sunroof open all week to rid the smell of seaside fish & chips []

All courtesy lights turned off

There are no old alarms fitted

GlennS has reminded me that once the doors are open this then allows power to use the windows without the key, would this then be the cause of the power drain by way of energising a relay all week?

check glove box light isn't on all the time , this is quite common and flattens battery in a couple of days. Nick []

Andy, if you need a good auto-electrician to look at it, I had a total wiring overhaul on mine for about £130. My car has gone from draining flat in 10 days, to standing for 14 days and starting as if on a full charge. Very impressed with the (ahem) cash in hand work, although I haven't been able to arrange to have the final pieces completed (battery isolator, door lock actuators fitted) and therefore pay him yet.

Andy, You could try putting a multimeter across the fuse terminals, after removing the fuse. That will tell if that circuit is drawing, and how much current. Repeat for each fuse. Once you've identified the problem circuit you can check the fuse card to see what's on that particular circuit.

Cheers for the replies gents, after a charge all night Sunday and 150 mile round trip to the Ace last night let's see what happens at the weekend, after keeping the doors shut for the rest of the week []
