Fish and Chip Run, Whitby

Please can you put Marlies and I down for this but not the Fish & Chips. That must be 30+ cars now!

Love to join you also if not too late? 964: Richard (myself) and son Lewis 997: Ivan and Lin (parents) All PCGB members of course :) So two cars with 4 people, all for fish & chips as well please! Many thanks

ORIGINAL: john holmes More like 40 cars with over 60 for fish and chips !!! Rita and John
I hope there are no stray cyclists en route like last year!!?? Sounds like should be a great run out Have you ordered the sunshine as heard there's unsettled weather for the weekend? John

ORIGINAL: jamescharnley Que was pretty bad last Sunday too .... due to the Park & Ride works
Slightly ironic that....we have the same problem in York at the moment!

Big mistake asking if there was any interest this year! More response than last year and have arranged for more parking spaces with the Council yesterday but now "CAR PARK FULL" if everyone turns up! Next step is to request a fine sunny day and quiet roads without vintage tractors or cyclists. Route details will be given at Malton, car parking charges on Endeavour Wharf are 2 hrs £3.00, 4 hrs £4.50, 6 hrs £5.00. Mark will organise a raffle in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance so lets top last year's donation. See you all on Sunday. Regards Rita & John

Hi John, Thanks for organising everything. Jane and I haven't been on the Fish and Chip run before, please can you tell me what time we meet up and where? Looking forward to it Graham and Jane

Meet at Specialist Cars of Malton from 10.00, we will head off from 11.00 in groups. There will be a raffle in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, so bring change (also for parking in Whitby).

A free prize draw for a small service has been kindly given by John Hawkins - so don't forget to enter. Rita & John

Hi Simon Come along I am uncertain of numbers from North East, still waiting to hear so its possible we can find a space. Regards Rita

Hi John & Rita, I'm going to have to reluctantly bow out of the Whitby Run this time. (Unforeseen circumstances!)[&o] Should make some space for someone else. Thanks, Shaun

I believe the issue is perhaps that PM's are sent from a "no reply" email address, if you just click on reply the response clearly goes nowhere. The 911 UK site is certainly more user friendly. As per my posting on 12th March on the R7 page there are 10 cars travelling from the North East, weather and work commitments permitting. However looking at the forecast of wintry showers, snow on the hills and gale force winds I'm not certain everyone will make it. As far as the fish and chips is concerned, nobody has expressed an interest so I can but assume that people, are intending to make their own arrangements Kind regards Mark

Great weather and a good turn out for a fine trip to the coast; Many thanks to John for organising the reserved parking with the council.

Yes a big thank you to John & Rita for an excellent day out. Brilliant organisation as usual. Geoff & Julia
