FISH AND CHIP RUN 2021

We occaisionally visit 'Trenchers' fish & chips in Whitby, I phoned to check the current position on eating there, they are open for business but to book a table, they require the party to be five or more people from 1 or 2 households.

Parties less than five will be accommodated as quickly as possible, from the above it sounds as though all tables are limited to two households maximum.

Looking forward to seeing everyone on the first large run of 2021.

Val and I will join those who are doing route 1 at the Wolds Village, we have to see to the horse and walk the dogs first thing tomorrow.

I will be using a Google Maps route to Whitby as my navigator has trouble staying awake, even with PSE, roof down and pressing on [:D] If anyone else is interested, here is a google maps link to Route 1

For anyone who wants a Google Maps version of Route 2a here it is.

Note that for some reason it doesn't go straight on at the roundabout in Helmsley, nor does it detour into the car park if a toilet is required. But it will still lead you onto to the B1257 which is where you need to be.

Enjoy your chips today for those on the Wednesday run. Looks like you have a beautiful morning for a drive out.

Chris/Delia and anybody I missed thanks for the route, organization etc today. Enjoyed it but could not believe how busy some of the roads and Whitby was for midweek in May. Hopefully the lookalike Boxster will be gone soon! Mark/Danny

A huge thank you to Chris and Delia Smith for planning and organising today’s Fish and Chip Run. It’s a bigger job than you might think so well done to you both for doing it.
Thank everyone for coming along and being such great company, and thanks especially to our rebel group for going off piste with us.
Thanks also to who ever arranged for such great weather and for the roads to be virtually traffic free.
Some magic driving was had today!

We hope that every one has as much fun on Sundays run.

Graham and Jane

I would like to add my thanks, just sorry we could not make the full day. I hope the weather was kind to you. I went through a cloud burst on the way home and it looked rather dark toward the East.
Chris

Hi all

massive apologies, I need to cancel myself, my wife Vanessa and the dogs run out with you all tomorrow.

my wife has a hospital appointment ( last minute cancellation) on Tuesday and she has to isolate. We did consider that she could isolate in a Boxster but we considered that really was not appropriate or responsible.

this was to the Boxster’s last run out before it goes to Porsche Leeds, am picking up a 992 S on Wednesday.

if anyone is looking for an immaculate 718 Boxster, silver, black gloss wheels, August 2018, 7000 miles, it will be at PC Leeds later this week.

By the way, Boxster prices remain very strong.

Nigel

Many thanks to Chris and Delia for organising today. We were very lucky with the weather considering the forecast had been terrible, and we enjoyed a dry run out! The Motorist was busy and an interesting as always venue to start from, followed by a wonderful drive over to Whitby. Simon and Sarah (I hope that is correct, we never really introduced each over!) lead the way to a very nice restaurant, and then we had a little convoy with Telford and Cheryl on the way back. Great drive, great people, great day. Thanks again.

Thanks to Chris and Delia for a great run yesterday. It was good to get back to some kind of normality and catch up with our Porsche family.

Hope you all arrived home safe.

All the best

David and Jayne.

Just to add our thanks for organising the run out. We drove along some lovely roads, not necessarily the route chosen for us (some issues with navigation which I'm not allowed to dwell on!)
And the weather was much better than expected!
Cheers,
Andy and Anne

Thanks again.

It was fantastic. So nice to do something with other humans again! Loved seeing all the Porsches as well.

Thank you!

Thanks to Chris and Delia for putting the Fish & Chip run together. It felt so good to be back at it, had almost forgotten what it feels like.

Excellent organisation to get the roads nice and quiet there and back, excellent work!

Looking forward to a season of fun.
