As the weather is still looking poor I will probably be going by 997 (it feels good to be able to say that []) and therefore also intend to get there early, I will make my final decision on Friday evening.

What about meeting at the Porsche stand / hostility / truck (whatever it is ) for say 10.30?

Just ordered my tickets,

Will be there on Sunday in the 997 so hoping the parking arrangements havent turned to mush over the previous two days.

Must not be too precious about this I know but dont want to be pulled off site by a tractor or similar !! [&:]

Quality not quantity [] using the equation of "A" to the "B" minus the X51 you've made 6 posts....

See the mods do have a sense of humour []

YvesD, I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd thank you for your insight and information on the X51 kit, which as you well know is quite a hot topic, your input is appreciated.

I am getting palpitations about the site cutting up like Glastonberry and getting the Porker stuck in the mud, or worse.

I have no idea about today, but am thinking seriously about going down either by train or the wife's VW Polo tomorrow. I went several years ago in the storming rain in my then Range Rover and saw many a car getting stuck. I smiled then, but cannot now!

To balance that the forecast in Chichester is for lighter rain than the predicted London storms

Okellyt, apologies for not catching up with you, but did not get back to the PCGB truck until 11.00. I was there about three times during the day, but there were too many people for me to go around asking who they were.

I had a nice brief chat with Tony the BCGP Events guy.

I went in the 997 at about 06.00 this morning and had a great drive down. The parking was fine; the ground being absolutely fine for today. I left just as the Heavens opened (round 13.00?).

YvesD, unless the rain continues over night, you should be fine tomorrow. Have fun

Sorry we missed you guys - we left the hostilities tent at 10;50am. Didn't make it back.

Left about 3:50pm - it was getting muddy, after the heavens opened it carried on light rain/spitting until after we left. If it carries on raining the issue will be gettting the car out tommorow wvening as opposed to getting in first thing.

Next time lets do somehtng formal and arrange a 997 meet or activity at the Festival of speed!

Going tomorrow and it's looking like 4x4 over 2+2 then! had a look at the BBC weather forcast earlier and they are predicting wet all day [:'(] good job the Le Mans clothing kit is still at hand.

Just got home after a 7 hour trek in appalling weather conditions.

Enjoyed the Festival but very glad I didnt take the 997, car parks were terrible by the time we left.

Yes sorry to have missed you too. I was there for all 3 days, but gave up at around 3 pm on Sunday - it was getting fairly mucky [X(].
Thoroughly enjoyed it though. Thanks to those manning the POC stand for the very welcome hospitality - much appreciated [].

Another great FoS.

Ended up taking our 5 month old (thought I'd introduce her to sports cars early), which meant taking a load of baby gear (bugoboo pram, baby seat, etc, etc), so parked the Pork in the hotel right next door. Bit cheeky but beats getting it stuck in the mud.

Wife has fallen in love with the Veyron - looks better in the flesh apparently. Has demanded that I start saving up more quickly [].
