Where the f**k is this switch []

It was mentioned to me that it was straight forward to change & i can't find it for love or money.

I think i may have found it, but there seems to be alot of parts to take off to get to it ???

Your help would be great as i'm starting to lose my oilly rag [;)]

I think i'v found it now, but i take it that it's best to access it when the car is on a lift ???

Thanks

It can be reached from above, but you would have to remove the airbox, the intercooler pipe and the hose between the head and the radiator.
I couldn't get to it without also taking off the fans.

That seems very time consuming & abit of a pain in the arse, will it be easier on the lift ???

Thanks again

You might save some time doing it from below, but it will still be a pain I'm afraid!

Easier on the lift Paul, it can be awkward, you will probably have to bleed the air out afterwards, got the AFM but yet to try, welcome to the joys of 944 ownership, when their good their great but when their bad................GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR !

Use a deep socket so that it fits easily over the terminals and they usually unscrew quite easily. If the socket is the right length no need to remove fan shroud or strip loads of stuff, I've always done them from above standing on the ground. Remove enough stuff (airbox and intake MAF ) for access from above and you should then be able to get the socket and wrench in place.

It's at the bottom of the radiator on the passenger side

I think its at the top, passenger side and how bad it is to change depends on if aircon is fitted.
A certain amount of disassembly is required - air box, hoses etc - not completely sure on a Turbo
If it has aircon its is a 3 pin connector and sockets wont fit [] connector is too big!
Without air con, the 2 pin head is much easier to get hold of!
