Fan not switching off!!!

Hi again

I have been making short journeys (15 mins) with the relay out - wise friend told me this is ok? Thoughts....
Also, prised open relay and inside is beautiful. Should I wd4o the 2 contact switches, anything else. Also, how to best fold in the metal to securely close unit again?
Windscreen wiper sorted after squirt of wd40!!
Thanks in advance..

p.s. where would I find the rad thermo switch to check it...

have you popped the contact off? when they stick they kind of solder themselves on so takes a bit of unsticking! i just bent the metal casing out with pliers and closed again with piers. still looks neat. In this weather it should be fine, just be careful about getting stuck in traffic

No problem running short trips this time of year.

Thermo switch is n/s of rad top under top hose and vent pipe to reservoir - absolute pain to get at!

Just checked - is 30mm spanner required.

Thanks Mike and others!!
Will address replacing part after festive partying!
Learning all the time, thanks again.

Donald

p.s. car wonderful today in shocking conditions (gales, casual water, slush) on the A93 Perth to Breamar - what a road to drive!!!
