Factory Option PPF

Hi Steve, I've got a Gentian Blue Targa 4 GTS on order (and no I don't have a delivery date yet!! ??). I've been talking to my OPC in Solihull and Stuart at Onyx about PPF and ceramic, looks like they did a brilliant job. I ca't see me needing full PPF as no roof as such so will probably "only" the front, mirrors, sills, wings and rear arches done. Onyx have offered to pick up car from OPC before it's fully PDi'd as they say it's better for them to do it from "scratch" no pun intended. Could you let me know if you did same, how that works regarding transport to and from and costs (DM if better?) thanks so much. Your pics make me feel the Gentian Blue is exactly the right choice for me...
 
You make very good points, similar to other posts elsewhere about spending money with a third party to get the geometry changed. Anything factory fitted is Porsche responsibility.
 
I've used Topaz before on a Aston Martin. Work was good, but I thought they were expensive. Also used Max Protect who were also good, but on one occasion I'm sure they trimmed on the car in some places which was a no no for me: https://max-protect.co.uk/

My Turbo S had a full Satin PPF done by https://www.julessturgessautomotive.co.uk. They have done my Turbo S, Cayenne, Range Rover and actually the Black RS6 on their website was mine which had a full PPF. Jules attention to detail is amazing and the quality is the best I've seen so far. However they are Cambridge based so may be a bit further to go, They picked my Turbo S up untouched by the dealer then PPF'd it before I collected it. They use Xpel

I also always then have GTechnique Halo coating put over the PPF to keep the car extra protected.



 
Dan at Auto-Protek would be my recommendation. They are based in Minley, not far from Guildford in Surrey. My car was picked up in an enclosed trailer, PPF'd and ceramic coated, then dropped off at my doorstep about a week later. If you can, pay a visit to their workshop, discuss your needs and go from there.
 
The other company to try is Reep, based at Dunsfold airfield, next to the old Top Gear studios. They do some very nice cars there and the workmanship is second to none I have seen, Give Ian Fisher a call. They did my new 992 TTS: full PPF and ceramic coating and did a magnificent job. I had a slight problem with a small part around the lower nearside wheel arch lifting and trapping dirt but no problems in getting it sorted out for free. I have now given them my 993 for full PPF and ceramic.
