Factory Museum visit

Given the Zolder trackday is a no go I am considering what to do. I still have tickets for the Nurburgring Race event and it would be a shame not to go. So I was thinking of heading for the factory to visit the New museum at present I have no passenger and given the distance involved it would be nice to have someone along for the ride.
Anyways a basic idea would be
Dates 13th - 17th June
Thursday out (probably by tunnel) Drive to Zuffenhasen, Stuttgart. 6 hr journey.
Friday Porsche Museum drive back up to Ring in afternoon. Maybe taking in Sinsheim on the way. Meet up with rest of the RS fest gang
Saturday Ring oldtimer racing
Sunday Ring oldtimer racing
Monday drive home, possibly via Spa to watch goldtrack trackday
.If anyone is interested as passenger or wants to convoy down to the factory just let me know.
edited and updated a little

Looks like a very good plan, I did just this last weekend. Porsche Club Ireland Factory Visit Friday and the Nbr 24 hr Race on Sunday . Combines the best and the best !

I would check with the Museum, they were planning on shutting half of it down to put a 911 anniversary display in place but I can't remember the dates. They were going to offer discounted entry though to make up for it.

Thanks, already checked that. Will be open as usual with the new 50 years of 911 display up and running by then.

From May 21 to June 2, 2013 the Porsche museum builds up its new special exhibition "ž50 Years of the 911". It will be the most extensive special exhibition since the opening of the museum in 2009. Nevertheless, you can still visit the exhibition area. Anyway, we kindly apologize for any inconveniences by giving you a 50 percent discount on the admission fee (only from May 21 to June 2, 2013).

I am really looking forward to it. Been round the old museum a number of times and that was always great but a little small. Been past the new museum when it was being built but have never yet got round to seeing inside!
Have decided it has to be the 64RS to take on the trip. No one seems to be interested in joining me down to the factory so looks like i will be heading down there on my own.

Laurence, sorry to hear no-one will be joining you at the museum but glad you are bringing the RS. [:)]

Are you travelling out on the 11.50?

Not sure yet Martin. Fairly late crossing to get me across to stuttgart at a sensible time and your convoy will head off to Zolder fairly early on in my trip. There is another convoy "heading my way" that might work out better for me. Not made any firm decisions yet. Almost certain that i will be back up to the ring on friday eve to meet up though. So many possibilities that i'm spoiled for choice on what to do. Too much choice really. Do keep me informed of what you plan to do though.
