Extended Warranty - Price Increase

Have just received 3 official quotes (mine an almost 3 year old GTS).... for a 3 year extension, it has jumped from £2.9k to >£3.3k!

Up by 14% and now costing £1,100 pa, but still competitive compared with marques of similar status and performance.

I insure my dog against vet bills and it costs me a grand a year.

Porsche's warranty page still shows the cost at £2980 for 3 years. Are you planning to take it out now or when your current warranty expires?

Agreed, pricing is not unreasonable.

Porsche's warranty page still shows the cost at £2980 for 3 years. Are you planning to take it out now or when your current warranty expires?

A recent leaflet (with a Dec'25 covering letter) also shows £2,980 for 3 years. Will enquire, but not hopeful as the £3k+ was quoted by 3 x OPCs yesterday. In terms of timing, shortly before expiry to avoid paying for a 111 point check.

If you're extended your warranty you can do it at any time, it doesn't need to be close to expiry. I bought mine 3 months before the manufacturer's warranty expired, the new warranty starts automatically and the payment and paperwork was all done online.

I'm sure Porsche will bo doing a price increase at some stage early this year however if your warranty is due after the price rise then I'd buy it now.

Thanks Dan. I will be at the OPC for the 1st MOT near the end of Feb, so plan to do it then unless another OPC is willing to do it for £2,980 (vs the £3.3k - this must be the new price).

The warranty cost does not include Porsche Assistance which is charged separately. Check whether to cost of £3,300 includes the assistance.

I was quoted the following figures for renewal:

Warr £1290/2340/3330
Assistance £232/392/535

I believe that these include VAT, and were from 1 Jan. This was from Tewkesbury
