I really want to take my 944 for a trip the Wales to sample the imfamous Evo Triangle. I am thinking it would be more enjoyable in a convoy of other 944's and wondered it any of you guys would be interested in such a trip?

Paul,

Sounds like a good idea, but Edd (Copperman)'s recent experience on here has mirrored mine; organising such a thing is a nightmare!

The usual procedure seem to be as follows:

1 - Decide upon suitable dates for you
2 - Set up poll on doodle (http://www.doodle.com/)
3 - Tell everyone on here about the doodle poll and ask people to fill it in
4 - Everyone lists their available dates on here and doesn't fill in the doodle poll
5 - Someone tells everyone to stop mucking around and fill in the doodle poll
6 - Most people fill in the doodle poll (eventually)
7 - The date draws near and people drop out one by one
8 - You get fed up and (understandably) cancel the event, going with your mate/wife/girlfriend/mum instead

All the best in trying to set it up ... when were you thinking of and where would you stay?

It's absolutely gorgous there but pleeeease remember that the Police there absolutely love speed vans !
Anything you can think of here re speed guns times it by ten.

Not that any of you would exceed the speed limit obviously [8|]

That is quite amusing and to be honest I can imagine organising a trip could be a nightmare. The main advantage of this kind of trip is other than accommodation for a night, it doesn't cost anything (other than fuel!!).

I appreciate that trips to this area have become popular and can imagine weekend traffic could spoil the fun. I was thinking about taking a random mid week day off...

Yeah, but Edd (Copperman) is a copper, so if you take him with you then you'll be OK. I mean, he knows the secret handshakes for when you talk to the guy who stopped you and everything!

Paul, yes. My best advice would be to say "I'm going to Evo Triangle on the 32nd May, and staying in the Randy-Welsh-Bum-Bandit pub in Llandiddlywiddlypiddlycochochchoch, if anyone wants to come along then let's meet up on the Saturday morning." And then not expect anyone to come along.
