Events over the next few weeks

We have just had a very busy weekend with the 75th Porsche Anniversary events. I will report of these in August Porsche Post.

We still have a number of events coming up in the next few weeks

15th June - Wray – Thursday (3rd Thursday) This month the Cars & Coffee Event at Bridge House Farm Tea Rooms, Wray falls the week before our monthly meeting. Arrive as early as you can from 14.00. The event runs until dusk, with hog roast/burgers etc. available. There should be Porsche dedicated parking areas

21st June – Wednesday Monthly Meeting – John Liles will be presenting "Origin of the Species – Porsche 356”. He will be bringing along a 356 as well.

25th June Sunday Cars & Coffee – Chung Ku Restaurant, Columbus Quay, 2 Riverside Drive, Liverpool, L3 4DB from 8.30 until 12.00. Check this date and time.

2nd July Jasmine Porschalink Breakfast Meeting, 8.30 to 11.30. Chris Bird has then arranged a 40 mile drive via the Ribble Valley to finish at The Dressers Arms, Wheelton, Nr Chorley for lunch at 13.00-13.15

Anyone wanting to join the drive only, drive and lunch or just the Sunday lunch should e-mail Chris Bird on the.aviary@live.co.uk by Monday 26th June.

The Sunday Roasts are usually Beef, Turkey, Lamb and Gammon
Pre-orders will be required by Wednesday 28th June latest and should also be sent to the.aviary@live.co.uk making sure any choices (i.e. chips or potatoes!) and dietary needs are stated.

8th July –Saturday - Porsche Centre Preston as you will have seen have offered free vehicle inspections for Porsche Classics including 986, 987, 993, 996 and 997. The event on Saturday 17th June is fully booked. We have other dates available, 8th July and 29th July. If you would like your classic inspected, please let me know which date, model and Reg No. Pre-booking is essential and you cannot just turn up on the day.

9th July – Sunday. You will have seen we will, in conjunction with R22, be having a display at the Wheels Up North Weekender Show at Crooklands Lane Farm, Crooklands, Milnthorpe, LA7 7NH. Club entry bookings closed on 11th June. You may still be able to book spectator tickets

Finally, don’t forget will again be organising the R18 Calendar (2024) Photo Competition. Please take photographs of any Porsche Club events during the year. Entries will need to be submitted by Autumn and will be judged by internationally famous photographer, and R18 member Sean Conboy
