Just saw this rather interesting beat up 944 on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Porsche-944S-spares-repair-Reg-No-DMA-944S-/140568285204?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item20ba85d014
Seems to be the esclusive edition http://transaxle.homeip.net/944/944S/Exclusive/Index.htm
Has anyone ever seen one of these except this one ?

I'm from Canada so can't comment on UK offerings but I'm sure that two-tone combo (or very similar) was available on 924 turbos here. IIRC there was a two-tone green metallic also - light on top with dark on the bottom. Don't recall ever seeing these on 944s.

Never seen a 2 tone 944 (but lots of vari-tone reds!) But Porsche have always been the opposite of Ford - they will do anything you want.- for a price - and as you say 2 tone paint was a regular option on 924 turbos.
Would guess by the mid '80 2tone was not fashionable, everything just HAD to be colour coded!
Very interesting as was about the same time as the "Silver Rose" cars, which I think were just Turbos.

Always sad to see a 944 down on its luck but with a lunched engine and six years of sitting on the drive the kindest thing might be for the owner to put it out of its misery...
