Engine out and rebuilding/checking

Got round to taking the head off today,Head gasket looked like new...... damn. Oh well Im there now so have to replace it.Also cams loom good as do theeth on cam drive.Pads on tensioner are only 200 miles old so it all good at the to end.Next job turn it upside down and remove sump then check rings and bores for wear as well as big and little ends,crankshaft rods etc. I bought my car with no service history so trying to build a portfolio of work done in order to start with a clean sheet.
I will try to get some photo's on as I go along and do a wee kind of how to.
