Lo all, now I cant believe that this isn't really obvious to someone and a 'known fault' somewhere.
Just got the car out to dust it down , run the engine and top up some fluids, and as the title says turn off key engine keeps going and going. The thing is, if its the obvious ignition switch I'm confused as when you turn the key off without the engine running or with , all the dash lights go out as they should suggesting to me the switch might be working properly ? but if thats the case how come the fuel pump keeops supplying the car with fuel let alone ECU/ spark etc.
So from start get in car turn key to position one , relay clicks , position two and all lights come on dash as normal , if you then turn key off without starting car all lights go off as normal ! , also I left the car in garage for 2 weeks with no trickle charger on and the battery has not gone flat so I am thinking ignition is not permanently on ?
However if you start the car then turn key off all lights go off but the car keeps going. To stop the car I either stall it or pull what i think is the DME fuse. I dot think its due to the auto lecie who removed the immobiliser because the car did do this once when i first got it prior to his visit but the fault then went away and has only just re appeared !
Any good clues on this one ? , I sure need some because the auto lecie broke something on my car and then wanted to charge me to come out again ! so I dont wont to be using him.
Regards
