Engine Failure

[FONT=Times New Roman"][FONT=verdana,geneva"]The engine of my 2004 Boxster S has failed, probably due to failure of the engine layshaft bearing and possible other internal damage. I understand that failures of this type are not uncommon and have been a problem for several years. Can anyone advise me of the best method of repair and possible sources of replacement parts? Many thanks.

Sorry to hear this has happened.
For everyone else's information John has spoken with me this evening by phone, and I've suggested Autofarm or Hartech might be able to help, and also to contact Porsche. If anyone else can help with advice please add to the thread.

(Can an Admin move it to the Boxster area please? Ta!)
