Hello Chris,

Happy new year! I hope you had an enjoyable one and a lovely Christmas.

I have passed on the numbers to my colleague Toni, however, I just want to confirm a couple of items with you.

Breakfast

The quoted price of £14.95 is for everyone to pay across the board to keep things simple. Everyone will have access to the pastries & juice to begin, followed by their choice of breakfast which will be served to your party while seated.

Naturally, there is a lot of preparatory work going in to providing this breakfast, so we ask that as many people attend as stated, otherwise we could end up with a lot of leftover food, which would then be wasted.
Of course, I acknowledge there are extenuating circumstances that prevent attendance, but we hope this will be minimal.

Please note that the café will be closed to the public from 10.00 until 11.30 for your use. After breakfast, the tours will commence. Please see below for more detail on this.

Entry & Payment

In terms of payment, admission is to be paid at the admissions office upon arrival at £7.00per person.

Payment for the breakfast (£14.95) is to be made in the café. We ask that only one person per couple for example, goes to the counter to minimise staff/visitor contact in view of COVID.

The gates open at 10.00 and you are welcome to park where you please in the car park, as you are not displaying the cars.
Please note that upon entry to the Museum, there is a ramp which you have to go down and some cars have been known to scrape it for really low-slung cars. If this an issue, we can arrange for you to enter through the rear gates which has a level access. Please let me know if this will be a problem.

Tours

I propose beginning the tours at 12.00 I will ask the guides to begin from the café to make things easier. The guides will split the group into three, so there will be 20 people per group. This will amount to £60.00 in total for the tours’, payable on the day at the admissions office. The tours will last around one hour, though they invariably last a little longer. After the tours’, your party is free to explore the Museum as they wish.

A 12.00 start time allows for anyone who arrives a little later and for conversation during the breakfast.

Friday 7th January

If I could ask that you email me as you suggest on Friday, with the absolute final numbers for the breakfasts and importantly if anyone has any allergies, it is imperative we have this information along with the names of the people.

I will be on site on Sunday where I look forward to meeting with you.

Best wishes,

Hello everybody,
The above email received by myself from Elvington should make it clear about what is going on on Sunday.
Please take note of everything mentioned and look forward to an enjoyable event.

See you on Sunday,

Chris

Hi Chris,
Thanks for update.
Are you going to ask for entry by the other gate to avoid grounding cars on the ramp mentioned, suspect this will affect most of us as our cars are low?
And note parking arrangements indicates we are not displaying our cars, is this something we should consider to do in view of number and variety of Porsches attending?

Many thanks
