Can someone confirm that both seats should be on the same fuse?

Yeah. Pretty sure this is the case.

Before you go suspecting the wiring, it is possible to plug the seats in wrongly; you can put the plug in such that the contacts are one row out, and then the behaviour of the seat is peculiar. Whether this would explain the symptoms you have I'm not sure, but it's worth making sure that the plug is aligned as it should be.

Yes. All series two cars have this on the drivers side (as your spec shows, it was originally an option on the passenger side, even on the top model in the range).

The feature is there to lift the seats up to aid smaller drivers, as well as to provide adjustment for comfort, as the seats are lower in series two cars.

Might be worth checking the plug is connected properly - I remember someone on here who had somehow mis-plugged the connector in and lost one of the motors

Like this? If it is broken and you do replace it, I'll take the broken one off your hands, as I have an otherwise working switch but the round plastic bit has snapped.

Two pairs recently sold on eBay for ~£50. A new one from Porsche (92861318100?) is ~£50.

Yeah, wot Ed said. It's possible to plug the plugs into the bottom of the seats one row out, and lose some of the functionality.

If it isn't this then do some fault-finding; test the motors and switch. They really are a very simple setup and finding a fault won't be difficult.

Hotblack will keep you in mind after fault finding, thanks for the reply's chaps another "to do" i swapped the cars over last night and the 220 has gone to my other garage at my Mam's place as i have a few to do's to sort on the black beasty !
