New ARO for Cumbria area Ged Kelly has planned a drive for Sunday November 16th, meeting at the Border Gate Hotel Junction 42 of the M6 at Carlisle and drive through Armathwaite, Kirkoswald, Lazonby, then on towards Penrith and Eamont Bridge, Lowther and Askham.

At Askham we will park and walk over the tops to Pooley Bridge for Lunch before walking back to Askham. The walk will take appox 1 hour and will require boots and waterproofs (just in case).

For those not wishing to walk, Ged can suggest other activities.

Approx start times 10.00 at Carlisle and 1.15 for lunch at Pooley Bridge. The drive takes in some lovely scenery and the walk to Pooley Bridge affords views of Ullswater that many people don't see.

If you wish to attend this event and not replied earlier, would you please let Ged know shortly on 07967 447564 or 01228 542486 so that he can make a provisional booking for the lunch and then circulate menus.
