Ebc. Apexi or greedy

My solenoid is on the inner wing drivers side just in front of the bulkhead. I used on of the existing fixings for the cable ties to hold one side. Controller mounted in the top of the glove box, there is the option to have a remote button to switch between high and low boost - it is very rare I use low boost so didn't bother installing it.

I just found some pictures of the Greddy showing it's tiny size, where I mounted the solenoid in the engine bay and where I initially put the controller in the centre console cubby. Hope they help

That's small. Hopefully apexi is bigger and Easyer 2 read. I don't want 2 fit extra boost gauge. Was one off the main resins I went dbc over mbc


Is that e36 cubby hole? Iv got one but it wouldn't fit without work.

Dont they fit? B*gger! I have a BMW cubby on one side that Id intended to use (originally to use in my MX-5).

No thats a 968 cubby.

I find digital boost gauges pretty impossible to read without taking your eyes right off the road. A nice analogue needle sweeping around a dial is very very easy

944 man, your right they don't fit, but can be made 2 fit, was sold one my 944 owner under the impression it was 968. Anyway. I think that greddy would fit in place off the LCD clock and hazard swicth, hazard swicth could be moved 2 spare on the gear console

I don't want 2 fit a gauge so I will see how I get on with just the apexi

So, does the 968 part come without a hole for the clock cut in it? From memory my 968 had a square analogue quartx clock there.

Terry, what did you have to do (or had been done) to make it fit, please?

Iv got a e36 one. It currently don't fit, as it hits the screws that fix the gear console in place.

I was told it fits and was instoled on another 944, so guess if that tyre he must off mod or it had been modded the gear console. I wouldn't want 2 do that. I would rather mod the none onrginal item. Should just be a case of using a dermal 2 shave a bit off the area that's catching.

The clock dials are white on the one I got, can't rember if its round or square clock.

With mounting the solnerd Iv read that under the dash where the cruise controller mount is is best, don't suffer from body vibration?

No, it comes with a square hole for the 968 square clock.

Luckily the Autometer boost gauge fits into it with a little 'ovalising' of the square and the silver bezel hides the corners []

Apexi is here, and Iv sat in car trying 2 find it a home. Fits in the gap from the ashtray. , but I'm concerned the vibration off it there will cause damage. If I bed it on foam or extra carpet I won't be able 2 fit my iphone holder on top. If I fit it on top I'm worried it will damage the screen.

So I don't want 2 mount it there, its slightly 2 thick 2 stick in the cubby hole. All thou I could cut it 2 fit. But been sliver and blue sort off stands out.

So I'm leaning towards a single din blank with a cover or lid 2 close over it. Like the link I posted b4. Anyone got any ideas?

Did you not see the pics I texted you on Sunday Terry? I binned my radio (I would rather listen to the engine anyway)and, JMG doctored a new radio blanking plate and mounted it there.Scramble boost button beside it. [8D]. I think it looks well smart there and is easy to read, even when you're giving it the "good news"!![8D][]
