Seller was asking questions about the car / colour on Tipec a few weeks back.

I did wonder if he was going to go over the top about being a super rare example but he's actually kept it quite sensible in the ad. I must say that is a very good advert and much better that that dealers earlier examples so he's obviously learning very well. I'm sure some of us can still remember some of the cheaper cars he's advertised [:'(] but this one does look like a stunner and I want to applaud the hi-res images of the known problematical sill areas.

I hope the maintenance history lives up to the rest of the advert and that it sells for a good price. Now I just have to clean up the dribble that my wife has left all over the keyboard [:D]

Good ad, and I love the car in that colour. Remember the Portugese one that used to come over once a year for the National event and it's MOT?

Hmmmm, That, or the mint green 968 cab a couple of miles away from me at Slade's garage for £12K? [8D]

I looked at that car for a member when the origional seller was trying to shift it before it went to a trade in.It looked basically solid however the sills have had work ( not very well done) and it has alot of cosmetic issues that need done body work wise.I said at the time that it was needing a fair amount of work to get it right. But it was save-able.

For 9 grand, I would want the sills to look properly like they havn't been badly done, the wheels refurbed as they are bubbling and also the broken foglamp trim fixed as well. Thats after a 1 minute look through the pictures. One to avoid from the looks of it for that dough.

Think it's always the same from this seller - have seen the name on several sections on the forum, without many (any?) good comments.

This car was traded in for £1200.It was for sale at the time for £2300. I would say it's worth about £1200 as you would need to spend a fair bit of cash on it to get it right.Even then it would only be worth about £4-5 k.Sills repaired badly loads of over spray underneath and rot on rear arches. Also double floored and couldn't see condition of floor. But defo needs work.If you could get it for aroune £1200 then it could be made nice. Also it was several different shades of pink.

Have had dealings with the guy before, granted it looks well, but i do believe the guy works on massive mark ups, with the trade in he offered me on one of my cars i will bet my house he would have marked it up 3k plus................."all that glitters is not gold"

Exactly as Mike says. The guy has a reputation, and it - frankly - stinks.

FWIW, he also has a reputation in the world of Audi RS2's, and it's even worse (if that is possible.)

Can't comment on this particular example, and I've never met the guy or seen anything he has for sale, so I'm merely passing on gossip.

Oli.

I have not had any dealings but I would point out a) his 944 adverts are obviously appealing to some, b) he typically secures a sale and often at a good price.

He must be doing something right.

Kongsodoken bought his turbo from the same guy and, from recollection, had a good experience.

it is missing the trim at the bottom of the driver's side wing; I recall Buchanan and the poor reputation but it looks tidy and a great colour. I wouldn't pay over the odds for it though; in fact I'd only but a 944 privately so I could quiz the seller, I think most traders should be avoided.
