Do the spring clips stay attached to the door when you pull the trim off and thus will then allow you to just push the new trim back into them?
Thanks
They have teeth to hold them to both the door & the trim so they could separate from either & stay attached to the other. They aren't difficult to remove from the trim with a screwdriver & you'll see where they went on the door from the marks the teeth leave in the paint.

Held on with half a dozen spring clips (U-shaped), it does just pull off. If you've got the new ones to hand you should be able to see how it fits the door. It's a little tricky at either end, you need to push the rubber window trim out of the way IIRC. Start at the back & work forwards, when you fit the new one start at the front & work back.

Just a point of clarification, but do i need to remove the inner door cards to do this, as i cannot pull the old scrapers off, no matter how hard I tug? If I get really brutal, I think the rubber is so old that it will simply seperate from the metal innards!
Thanks
You have the advantage of being able to inspect the new part to see how it fits too.

If I remove the door card, I will be able to tap the trim upwards from below to free it from the clips.

Yes, or lever it out. From memory the metal part of the door on the inside is a bit lower than the outside part. If you remove the inner trim you may also be able to pull the glass into the car a little (ie away from the outer door skin) to give you more room to get your fingers in there. Potentially you could remove the door glass too (slide off the two wheels from the runners that are attached to the bottom of the glass, tip the window forwards & draw it out diagonally towards the rear, getting the wheels back in the runners is a pain in the arse though).
I can understand your desire not to damage the car, but that part of the car is designed to resist attempted theft so it could be that it interlocks with other door furniture (ie it needs to dissasembled in a particular order).
As I said before, when I did it I stripped the whole door back to it's basic shell so my experience isn't identical to what you are attempting.

They are £23.95 plus VAT each from Forestfine, whereas OPC near me has quoted £17.68 plus VAT (plus a further 10% off that price if you are a PCGB member).
Further point to note that if I thought getting the old ones out was a tricky job without damaging any surrounding trim, then getting the new Forestfine ones to fit is even harder. I know the old ones have shrunk and shrivelled, but the new ones just don't seem to be the right shape or profile. I have just ordered one driver's side one from the OPC to see if they are a better match.
Ever wished you hadn't started a job - especially this close to setting off for Le Mans.....[8|]

I gave up on trying to change them prior to Le mans trip, but at the weekend I fitted the new drivers side one...
It was a doddle and improves the appearance no end.
Why was it suddenly a doddle, I hear you ask (well, go on then![8|])...?!!
'Cos I bought some OEM ones from Bolton OPC (cheaper than Forestfine too) which are much, much, much ( get the idea?![8|]) easier to fit than the Forestfine ones.
So after struggling for ages with my first purchase, it took me all of 30 mins, some liquid soap, a screwdriver, a cloth and a small hammer (what do you mean it sounds very wrong?[
I bought some new metal clips too, to secure the trim to the metal lip inside the door.
Just got to do the passenger side one now....[8|][

Paul and the guys are absolutely right about checking with your OPC first for parts as they are so competetive, especially with the 10% PCGB discount.
I've got a great relationship with the parts guys at Bolton OPC these days - can't praise them highly enough[
