Hi! Over this winter I've noticed (pictures included) white mould on the drivers door and end of the dashboard. It wipes off easily enough but... The carpet, door panel and area around this mould is not damp the white on the carpet is mud not mould!) and there is not sign of any damp anywhere in the car. Any thoughts and advice gratefullyIMG_20231229_101158482.jpgIMG_20231229_101202580.jpgIMG_20231229_101209613.jpg received please.

It may have just got wet when opening the door and not dried properly. Even when wiping, mold spores can still be there. Wipe it down with an anti mold product a couple of times and it should go away.

Save money on the mould products and simply Spray with white vinegar on the effected area. Leave for a few minutes and then wipe off.
suggest you use a mask when treating since mould spores can be harmful.

Thanks for your advice, I'll give it a go.

If you leave your car for a month or two in the winter you will sometimes get mould on the leather, seatbelts etc, this can simply be because the cabin got damp from getting in the car when raining, it doesn’t take much.
I would advise against vinegar for the sake of a few pounds buy an anti bacterial spray. A friend used vinegar on the interior of his 944 and it smelt of vinegar for a long time afterwards, it wasn’t pleasant.

Thanks for your reply,, much appreciated. I agree re Vinegar, I used White Vinegar which was not so smelly. I think you have to be careful with anti bac spray - taking note off what types of material you can/can not use them I've been advised. The mould's disappeared after a deep clean which is good, hopefully gone for good!
