Dont know how to turn my lights on lol !!!!

Oil 4 944

New member
Hi on my prefacelift square dash 84 car i have the normal lamps in front bumper next to indicators,

just noticed that the h3 bulb doesnt light up and its a smaller twist in bulb that light comes from

Where is switch for this and is it classed as fog lamps or is something not working right

Tried a few switches in car but nothing worked

Some cars (series one 944 and all 924s)have them switched, whereas series two cars have them permanently on with the main beams. One of the small switches on the centre console should turn them on and off and you may have an extra blue tell tale lamp for them too. Theyre driving lamps not fog lamps. Fogs were an option and they came along with a different front PU to accommodate them.

Guessing my switch of something must be broke as got nothing, my other car is a oval dash and it has same front but as you said with built in fog lamps

thanks

My square dash 1985 has the same driving light arrangement and they only work in conjunction with the the rear fog lamps on and the main beam being used. The switch is in the small central console.

We are talking about the bumper mounted lamps, not the PU mounted lamps, which are fog lights, not driving lights.

On both our 924S's,these lamps are used as the headlamp flash lights-and they also come on on main beam & supplement the headlamps-the other bulbs are the sidelights.
neither car has a separate switch for them to be on on their own.( unless I've never got the correct combination of switches.)
