I need a nice long day to finish running in my Cayman S.

I've booked this with Circuit Days ...

Plenty of space at the moment, National Circuit, anybody else interested ?

See Bookatrack site ( http://www.bookatrack.com/event-calendar ) which says

"National Circuit, Open pit lane, 98dB
98dB Drive-By. Measured from track-side.

100dB Static. 0.5m and 45 degrees from exhaust at 3/4 maximum RPM.

Static tests are only on vehicles failing the drive-by noise limit"

It's a bit far for me...

BTW, I think noise test results are totally random, I have been 97 and 102db at Castle Combe, 97db Goodwood, 93db Rockingham, and the best was Thruxton where I was 89db, just under the 90db static limit...

Thanks Paul,

Yes, 98dB drive by --- it won't be an issue for the Cayman and most GT3's do not have a problem.

I have also found Donnington very helpful if you discuss the issue and how to fix it ...

Chris
