I' m turning green as I view the pic - very nice. I see a similar project ahead for me - I' ve got two years to do it!

Gav - you' ll have to give me an idea of price - I shoudn' t need a full rebuild as mine was rubuilt in the states 2,000 miles ago - although can I be confident in the work done?

Only an engine indeed!! lol...

Bootsy, have a chat with Andy, mine was totally shot so needed almost everything £££.
Speak to him in September, but start saving now[;)]

Yes it does look good I had a chat with Andy the other day. I like the idea of the full flow oil filter.

I think I will need to win the lottery to get it done[&:] So I might have to do it myself with the machining work by Andy.

Well done Gav would love to have a ride in it to see what a 912 really goes like.

Its a full flow system, oil goes direct from pump through the external filter, the original oil can is there for show really. All the oil goes through this rather than the percentage that went through the bypass system. So you get much more efficient filtering. The fact that it is on its side makes little difference, but as its bolted to the engine mount you can drop the engine without having to break any oil lines as you do if its side/body mounted.
Just need to get an orange FP1 now to match the oil can[;)]

I will find out... you may notice we stripped the fan shroud one as we put the engine in. They are a bit like the ' airfix' ones I had as a kid so need varnishing afterwards to protect them.
What I would like to get is the stickers for the insets in the boot lid cross piece... timing etc, so if anyone knows?

I am phoning round now for the engine bay stickers, if you want some let' s do a bulk order.

What ones should be there?

I have never seen a definative 912 original bay close up so I could not say for sure. My understanding is they are common to the 911. The Porshon ones look great.
They have to be foil though as they get trashed really easily otherwise, some folks do vinyl versions which are not great.
