Does anyone know this car?

I am in the process of buying what will be my first air cooled 911. The car in question currently wears the reg: F448CHD and I was wondering if anyone knows the car or any previous keepers.

Hopefully the 911 comes with a stack of bills and maintenance history which ought to have names and contact details charting the history of the car?

Yes It has plenty of paperwork and has been featured in a popular classic magazine. The dealer expressly told me it’s former keeper was a club member and I was hoping they would reply to my original post.

Unfortunately the percentage of members who use the forum on a regular basis is rather small so you’ll need a fair bit of luck for them to see this and respond.

Unfortunately, the Registration Number isn't known to me. Perhaps the 'Club' member had a personal plate that may turn up something, if you can check. The VIN number would be useful to, rather than the Registration. I do monitor the Forum and have seen this but not replied as I couldn't find anything. I'll be more vocal in the future! Also, if the previous owner had more than one Porsche they may have only registered the one they used most. Unfortunately, not everyone enters their 3.2 on the Register, is there a 3.2 Register or PCGB sticker in the window?
Edit:
ps Although there seems to be a small number of Forum users more read it than contribute. The Forum is still a good place for questions with some amazing knowledge out there. It's down to the members to use it, good news is that there is continued backing for it from the current Board.

Thanks everyone, I have now bought the car and in the process of getting it up to ninemiester for thorough work over. I will try and share more info when I have actually seen the car in person.

Well it seems that F448CHD is after all a very solid car and has featured in a couple of magazines. I am yet to have a drive as the restoration is ongoing and has gone a fair bit deeper than I had first planned. I have had to sell my daily 991 to help fund the works but look forward to getting out in a classic 911. Fingers crossed it’s all been worth while!
