Does anyone have a Becker nav head unit installed?

I'm going to be fitting a Becker DTM High Speed head unit in my 944 and wondered if anyone has experience of best place to fit the GPS antenna?

The manual suggests it has to be on top of the dash or external, but is there anywhere to conceal it behind the dash without affecting operation?

Also, any tips for where to pick up the speed and reverse signals will be appreciated :)

I had a Mexico Pro in my Eunos and I love how subtle the Becker units look - great sound quality as well!
 
Just to add to this, I installed the GPS antenna underneath the dash, on top of the glovebox, and it picks up GPS signal fine. Managed to navigate me through central London OK over the weekend anyway!!
