Divers Door Glass Issue

Hi Everyone

I have a concern with the drivers side door glass leaving a small gap at the top, and not fitting into the rubber seal correctly the result is an intrusive wind roar entering the cockpit when driving.

I have been told that the window has a couple of settings.....I dont know how true that is, so im wondering if there is a window reset that can be done by the owner??

Thank you all for reading my post, and for any kind helpful comments it is very much appreciated.

Kind Regards To All

Nick

Nick,

When you close the door, does the window raise the extra 50mm or so as it should? If there's no movement then the problem could be with the window control unit or maybe one of the micro-switches which monitor window movement.

Have a look in your Driver's Manual for the method to reset the window limit as it may vary from series to series. It'll be something like closing the window once with the rocker switch and then pressing the switch upwards again to store the final position of the window in the control unit.

To reset window limits:

Lower window to fully open then continue to hold switch for a further 10-15 seconds

Raise window to fully closed and continue to hold switch for a further 10-15 seconds

You may have to do this a couple of times, worth a try at least. Good luck!

Hi Jeff

Thank you for responding

The window drops by roughly 5mm or there about and the same when you close the door, unfortunately I do not have the Drivers Manual with this car, I have a shed load of other booklets just not the Drivers Manual sadly

I wonder if anyone else on the forum has the information regarding the re-set sequence?

Very Kind Regards

Nick
