Disabling Shurlock alarm - any ideas how to?

The alarm fitted to the car has unfortunately ceased to work reliable and cuts in from time to time making it impossible to start the car unless I disconnect the battery for a long period of time.
There used to be the possibility to open the front bonnet and I could turn off the alarm and disconnect the immobiliser with a key put in a black sealed box - unfortunately the key override has ceased working and I want to get rid of the fu..ing thing[:'(]

I am not a heavily gifted DIY man but as the car is at my house and I need to get the car started and drive to teh workshop this week I need to find out how to either override the immobiliser - or even better - how do I disassemble the alarm/immobiliser completely?

I really hope some one here can share their knowledge - as far as I have understood these alrms were often used back in the days so probably a few of you have the knowledge :)

Cheers

Niels

Alarms are an electrical nightmare.

Somehow you either need to gst the car to some one to fix or there are a lot of very good mobile alarm fitters around.

of.....join the rac or aa and get the cAr towed to the repairer.......

That might end up being the solution - would just have liked to use today to get the car transported and my road help it not valid until after the 15th of April :-(

A very nive Sunday to you all :)
