What this ad makes me realise, apart from how bad a paint match that front bumper is,

is that i really want some original 16" turbo spec teledials[8D] I never realy liked them before but seeing them on that car realy makes me want some. The dish on the back wheels is sexy[8D] Are they hard to come by?

I agree, Turbo teledials with their deeper dish are one of my favourites wheels on 944's. I think I'm right in saying they only came on 220 Turbo's, (the offset is different on later cars) so they are not especially plentiful.

I meaat yes they are rare, but also the paint looks to be the work of Wonder and Charles Autobodies.

The early Turbo was blessed with a much sexier offset. It's wheel options were these relatively deep dish teledials or the uber-sexy Fuchs.

Damn. I really want to put some original period wheels on the car but it looks like it could be a ball ache to actually find some.

Phil Rowley had a set in his loft he wanted rid of, I'm sure they were early-offset as his car's a C-reg. Don't know if anyone has a contact number for him?

I'd also try Jasmine and Porschapart, they used to list them regularly.

Phil's would work as he replaced them with the Fuchs that came off my first Turbo. You have a good memory though Paul as it was a long time ago he was looking to sell them, though I can't remember them actually being sold.

I fully expect to be tarred and feathered for saying this, but teledials never deally do anything for me. They just look too much like the (4-part, rather than 5-part) XR3i wheels to me. And I can't see the appeal of Fuchs either. Sorry.

The bumper almost looks like it came off another car. And it looks like the same paint was used to re-do the cills below the doors, over the wurth covering ... not pretty. Oh, and what's going on with the front driving/fog lights? It looks like they have some kind of additional cover over them. Or are my eyes decieving me?

No comment! []
I even like cookie cutters and am constantly amazed that they're not worth anything, if I had an early offset 944 I could be very happy with them.

I think they are plastic covers for the fog lamps, to prevent stone chips. I've heard of them but never seen them

They were £26 when I used to use them. Mine were usually cracked, but it was a lot cheaper than cracking the lens which happened prior to using them with all the motorway miles I used to do.

I have seen a few for sale without sports seats. But i supose they could have been replaced because of bolster wear.

Nope, Sports was an option. In fact most (possibly vitrually all) of the Silver Rose cars had comfort seats, which is one of the strange parts of the spec I never understood.
