Thank you to all who were involved in the planning, organising and marshalling the event. First time for us, and really impressed with the day which seemed to be run like a well oiled machine.
No pictures from me - but spotted a couple of photographers en route so no doubt plenty to come. Tip of the hat to R31!

Hi Peter

Glad you enjoyed your 1st Cotswold Rally. From your avatar I remember flagging you off at the Barn.

Graham

Difficult to keep a low profile in that one ?? You must have a sore arm after waving off 300 cars!

Yes just a bit

Arm was ok, more the wrist as wind was very gusty and didn't want to hit any cars ????

This was the first (I hope of many) I have attended after only collecting my first Porsche on Monday! Totally impressed with the organisation, planning and set-up. All of the team were super friendly and helpful and the few members I got to speak with before we set off were just brilliant.

Unfortunately the day took a turn for the worst as when we got to Chipping Norton I had to limp into the garage with what I shortly discovered was a broken failed water pump issue so had to cut it short and wait for the AA to take my son & I home :-(

On the flip side the first on the seen was Mikey Wastie of Autofarm fame. A big shout out to him (and his son) for the help & advice given.

Anyway, car back with the garage and hopefully to be sorted this week for more new adventures and keeping a fresh eye on the event calendar accordingly.

Thanks all and hopefully see you again!

Kevin

Hi Kevin

Sorry to hear of your issue.
Guess yours was the car that had a metal rattle at the Barn
Hope its covered under warranty?

Graham

I also wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in organising and running yesterday’s Cotswolds Rally.
This is the fourth Cotswolds Rally we’ve been on (first in 2012) and this years was the best, by far, in my opinion. One of the best Porsche Club events we’ve ever been on.

The start was brilliantly organised, the route was superb (a great mix of roads, surfaces, villages and views) and the organisation at the final destination was excellent. The food and drinks were great, the stands, entertainment and music were fab and it was good to wander around the house and grounds too.

Sincere thank you to the team - and Graham for sorting out the route and flagging everyone off!
Tough act to follow next year now!
Cheers, Richard

Unfortunately it was, but no real harm done and being sorted as we speak (under warranty)! Just gutted not to have made it to the end. Never mind, there's always next year!

I'd also like to add my thanks to the organisers, marshals, map creators and everyone else involved in this fantastic day. This is the first time I have attended this event and it will not be the last. From the welcome at the Barn all the way to the fabulous gathering at Buscot Park, everything was so well organised and all those involved so helpful and friendly - thank you all again.

My second rally and really enjoyed the it. Does anyone know where the photos will be posted from the various Porsche Club paparazzi dotted about?

Nick,
A big "thank you” for the organisation of last Sunday’s event. From start to finish everything worked extremely well, although, perhaps, you could have had another word with the weather gods in the afternoon!
The opportunity to visit Buscot House exclusively was well worthwhile.
I have heard a lot about the Cotswold Rally from other members but it is the first time we have participated and I am sure we shall be up for it again.
Many thanks again to you and your excellent team.

Thanks to everyone for coming our Rally last week and for your kind comments about it.

Other than the weather, it went pretty well and I’m so grateful to all our team (mainly volunteers from R31) who made it so.

David Speck managed to take a picture on every car (we think) and I attach a link below if you want to take a look and even buy.

I’ll be providing this link to all participants.

On the subject of photos, please send any good ones to enter our Photo Competition. We’ve got some nice prizes Inc a half day at Silverstone PEC and a full day "Picture your Porsche” pro photo workshop (here in the Cotswolds). Entries by close on Sunday 6th.

Best

Nick

Hi Nick,

Will there be any other photos to see (and potentially buy) in addition to David’s as I recall there being at least two photographers when we left the Cafe at the start?

p.s. ditto positive comments in the event, will be joining more as this was my first!

Yes, I’ll be posting a link to Simon Jessop’s photos Sunday night or Monday, as soon as we pick the photo comp winners.

Glad your first went well!

Ben

Apologies. It’s been a torrid week, I got backed up and by the time I got to it, there was no one in the CH to send out the mail. They don’t trust me with the keys to that particular Kimono.

The mail’s ready and long as someone’s back, it will go out Monday, together with the winner of our competition.

Here are all Simon Jessop’s fabulous pictures in low res.

Details of how to get them in high will be in my mail.

Have a good weekend.
