correct oil for 993 T4

I'm due to pick my new 993T4 today and want to know what oil it is recommended to use as i'm sure at some point it will need a top up. It's only done 20k and has been serviced annually at an OPC-what do they use as i'd like to keep it to the same brand of oil rather than mix them.
Thanks in advance.

Welcolm - OPC's tend to use Mobil1, but there are many different opinions as to which oil is best. Autostrasse, where my car was last serviced use Esso Ultron. Anyway, never mind about the oil, tell us more about your new car. What colour is it, did you buy it from a dealer or privately? Hope you plan to add a few miles to it over the summer.

Congratulations on your new car, dont forget to post some pictures.

Mobil 1 is the standard and if its been at an OPc all its life then thats what they will have used. There is also a dirty great big sticker on my intercooler telling me so!

Thanks all. I will need to get some photo's up shortly.
The car is Arena red, 23k from new back up by main dealer service history each year, every mot, tax disc, bill etc etc. The car is like new as you would expect at this mileage. I've done 500 miles in it already and no issues so far (touch wood). The last owner spend about 6k last year having all the old oil pipes, clips, belts etc etc replaced as they were looking a little perished due to age and i suspect lack of use. Anyway, i intend to love it and cherish it and DRIVE it for the next few years.
Is there a register for 993 turbo's anywhere-if so where and how do i get the car on it?
Thanks again.

There is only one board that I have come across so far thats purely 993 Turbo and thats Rennlist.com, they really know them back to front there is about 10 regular UK members and quite a few specialists on that site 6 -10 posts a day from all round the world. Beware of the slippery upgrade slope as some of the cars are highly modified.

There is also is a couple of stunning Arena Red cars on site(called Rufus and Waldo) with RUF wheels and trust me you will want the wheels when you see them on the car. I bought some 2nd hand for £1k.

If you want to see more generalised chat there is also Pistonheads which is UK based.
