Hi there looking for some help please. My 996 gen2 carrera 4 cooling light comes on after starting. It goes out after i start the car another 3 times. Once on the road the light stays off and the temp gauge sits at 80.
Any ideas what the issue is.
Many thanks
David

Ours did that once, checked the level and it was a bit down then eventually one of the rads started leaking badly.

Make sure the coolant is up to max.

I don’t know if it’s the same on your 996 but on my 987.2 Cayman [and presumably on the 997] a solid coolant warning light indicates a high coolant temperature and a flashing light a low coolant level.

As Tim has mentioned, it may be that you have a coolant leak, so best to keep an eye on the level on a regular basis.
